Beer 101 : Life of Don Farmhouse

We’ve just tapped Freehouse Brewery’s Life of Don!

Made from organic malted barley, organic hops and their house yeast blend, this hoppy farmhouse ale is a great way to end any day or accompany any meal! This brew was named for a Wadmalaw Island free spirit – perfect with our Burger of the Month, the Jack Talk Thai!

The beer boasts bouquet-like aromas and has a smooth and complex finish.

This type of farmhouse ale is  traditionally brewed in the winter, to be consumed throughout the summer months. Farmhouse Ales have recently made a comeback in the craft beer scene – we see more and more come through each day!

This is a very complex style; many are very fruity in the aroma and flavor as well has have lots of spice with a medium bitterness!
